Sweden
The Swedish national team brought to this World Cup a team quite capable of fighting, which can successfully qualify for medals. However, in the first round of the group stage, the Swedes did not succeed at all – Germany, which was clearly inferior to Tre Krunur, was defeated by the Scandinavians only by a score of 1:0. Today, the Swedish national team will have to fight the Austrians, who also cannot be considered a worthy opponent for Sweden. Of course, “tre krunur” should easily score the maximum points, but the pragmatic Scandinavians are unlikely to lead to a complete defeat – the match with Germany showed that even the football score of the Swedes is fully satisfied, so today the opponent national team of Sweden has every chance of avoiding a pogrom.
Austria
The Austrian national team cannot count on the play-offs – the nominal guests were in too difficult a group. Austria’s main task is to maintain its place in the world’s elite, but it should not be a problem to achieve the goal as Austria is in the same group with Hungary, who are unlikely to be able to oppose all the teams in group A Team Austria did not start this World Cup in the best way – Austria lost outside of regular time to France, but even one point seems good for the Eagles. The match against the Swedes is not very important for the Austrians – the outsider is well aware that picking on points will not help. But Austria’s defeat should not happen either: the Swedes are pragmatic, and the Austrians, unless there is strong pressure, can surprise.
Forecast
It’s quite obvious that Sweden and Austria are teams on a completely different level, but in a head-to-head confrontation, the underdog is able to show a good game. The Swedish national team has never been famous for its love of pogroms, and the match against Germany showed that the Swedes are primarily a result, not a show. Austrians are able to avoid defeat with a handicap of 5+ goals – I take a plus with the handicap on the away team.
