Kacper Ruud
Kasper started the season poorly, falling from tournament to tournament on hard surfaces, but on clay he immediately won the tournament in Estoril, Portugal, defeating Kecmanovic in the final. But at the Masters in Monte Carlo, Kasper failed again, after defeating Van de Zandshulp, the Norwegian could not cope with the German Struff, playing with him in two matches. The match against Struff lasted one hour and 45 minutes, 1:6, 6:7 in favor of the German representative. Despite recent setbacks in the Tour de France, Kasper is confidently holding onto third place in the ATP rankings, behind only Djokovic and Alcaraz.
Ben Shelton
For Shelton, the tournament in Barcelona is the third unpaved tournament of the season. The Briton had previously lost in Estoril, where he lost to Tim in the second round, and in Monaco, where he lost to Dimitrov in the first round. In Barcelona, Ben took his second win of the season on clay, being stronger than his compatriot Mackenzie McDonald. The match against Mackenzie lasted one hour and 40 minutes, Ben won it with a score of 7:5, 6:4. During the game, Shelton hit 9 times with two double faults, scoring 67% on the first serve and 42% on the second. Acceptance statistics: 39% / 58%.
