In Sporting’s first match, according to all statistical indicators, Midtjylland, which has brought not the first sensation this season, should have won. Portugal’s xG was 2.82 compared to Denmark’s 0.25. Were it not for the dumbest “import” of goalkeeper Adan, it would be unlikely that Midtjylland would have managed to shine at all.
