The Kings of Los Angeles

The California team has had a strong season and it’s hard to bet against them throughout the regular season. Los Angeles is currently ranked 3rd and leads the West in terms of home fixtures. But on the road, Todd McLellan’s team is only 8th, and after a successful long run at home, the “Kings” lost outright in Calgary.

Oilmen from Edmonton

Edmonton hit their best form at the end of the regular season and scored steadily throughout the month. The Oilers have scored in 12 out of 14 games played and they behave in a characteristic way, which leads to matches with high scores. At the moment, Jay Woodcroft’s team is undefeated in regular time in 8 games, and in the last game they inflicted a significant defeat on the West’s leader, Vegas, with a score of 7: 4.

Forecast

The performance of both teams is impressive this month, with one better than the other. Both play a very open style, scoring a lot and conceding a lot, which adds up to a top total that surpasses most (10 out of 14) recent head-to-head meetings. The upcoming confrontation is paramount as the rivals are close to each other. And now, in my humble opinion, the hosts have at least a better chance of not conceding a goal in regular time, given the current conditions and a seven-match run at home with no points.
